Someone dropped a bottle of Lidls "Premium Pils" in front of me there

Christ, it smells like PAINT STRIPPER. I don't want to know what its going to do going down, but I'm sure that a 4 pack will have it coming back up too. :nono:

Maybe I've led a sheltered life, but here in BN1 we don't appear to have any Lidls or Aldis so far as I can see - tho they regularly take out full page ads most days in the regional edition of the Mirror.

Is it a pikey thing?

Have some good wine in Aldi too. Just avoid the Shipstones Ale and the Finbarrs Authentic Irish Stout

Took some cans of Lidl 'Strong Cider' to Milwall, at 1.99 for 4 - looked like strongbow, tasted like piss.

The Lidl beer tastes like a proper German lager unlike the piss brewed for the English palette- don't overchill it or you won't be able to taste it.
Incidentally, in a blind tasting how many of you lager boys could tell the difference between a Stella and a Carlsberg?
Support Harvey's, the only decent thing to come out of Lewes.

I can tell the difference between them when trying to find my pint on a loaded table towards the end of the night when I'm close to blind drunk and no pint is in the right branded glass

So yes, yes I could. I could also probably divide the remaining pints in to exactly what they are, too.

But the Carlsberg in England tastes like arse (different brewery), so maybe we just get properly brewed lagers/pilsners/horsepiss (budweiser) here.

Their smooth bitter tastes like gravy. I think it's called Shipstones.

It was a fine day in Nottingham when the Shippo's brewery closed down. God knows where it's brewed now.

lidls is cool as long as you know what you are looking for.
their excelsor lager is cheap and not bad when properly chilled. problem is as soon as it is slightly warm it is awful. where as other lagers although preferably cold, when slightly warm are still drinkable.
