What a cracking little player he was for us. He just made a very bad career move. He should have stuck with the Albion, he would have got promoted with us.

He was immense for us. Our best player for a number of seasons. Liked him as a man too from what I knew. Mental how pear shaped it all went. Him, Buckley and No one all made poor decisions for their careers...

Bridcutt was superb. Our midfield of Stephens and Propper is uninspiring at best and poor often.

He will have made a few bob and good luck to him. Hardly a failure when he made more in a week than I made in a year. I could handle failure like that.

I'm pretty sure I had him down as one of the best dozen or so players I'd seen play for us when he left. (I'm nearly 50yrs old and didn't start going to games until we were really shit)

An excellent student of the Makelele role. Although he didn’t reach those heights he did very well for us in League One and the Championship. (Unfortunately for him) football has evolved and that role is out of fashion. No doubt it will be back one day.

I wish him well.

The phenomenon you describe is history. Many people take a keen interest. It is not a requirement.

Buckley lost his pace after a number of injuries. I watched him on occasion at Birmingham where I rarely nick a spare ticket from someone at work. He was unrecognisable from the player who took apart Dan Harding "that" day. A shadow of his former self. A real shame.

His dodgy hamstrings did for him in the end.

Great player for us, absolute wanker for the way he forced through the move with his “head not in the right place” to play
