This is why we need a designated RIP section, came in from work and my heart sank, one of the most honourable people I‘ve ever met connected with the Albion.

Thankfully he’s still with us 👍
He was one of the good guys during the Archer scheming period, behind the scenes by deed working to save us from him.

@Bozza should invite you to curate an RIP section. And anyone violating the protocol should be cremated.

Liam Brady is probably one of the best players I ever saw live (for Arsenal and the Rep. of Ireland) and he retained his dignity in the most ridiculous circumstances with us at The Goldstone...
His appointment was a moment of hope during a period of despair, alas during that period it was short lived. He understood the situation and tried..

Perhaps the people who post the OP announcing a death could just include RIP in the title (or the word 'dead' in cases like Thatcher, Savile, Putin, etc.) - with a short ban for anyone who posts a death notice without the warning in the title?

Think that sounds just about as morbid as having your funeral in a tacky favorite-team-coloured coffin.

On reflection all part of the con, they (Archer and Belotti) arrived promptly sacked the unpopular but ultimately misunderestimated Barry Lloyd, got the fans back on side, appointed one of the most gifted players to ever grace the Football League as Manager, all looked good, what could possibly go wrong?

A footballing version of the classic confidence trick?

To reiterate Brady for his part acted with dignity and respect throughout, a little known fact amongst the wider support was that he actually first resigned on the night of the Wycombe Wanderers home game on 18th April 1995 (know the date as it was the day Harty Junior was born), both Jimmy Case and Gerry Ryan then set about talking him round, and he withdraw his resignation.

Talking to him to some time later, whilst he clearly didn't know they'd sold the ground, he knew something wasn't right and had a very uneasy feeling about the whole situation.

So the testament to his loyalty to us supporters is that he actually worked through the resulting shit storm until November 1995.
