As everyone is "at it " casting around for a new manager......well not everyone.........I'm surprised I haven't seen Liam Brady being mentioned in the list of managers people would like to see as a candidate.

He didn't do too badly considering the shambles of a board we had at the time & only went because it really was down to the board....wasn't it?

I for one would love to see him back.

I remember Brady saying he prefers the job security of his current role over the instability of being club manager, and that this was his main consideration.

Liam Brady did very little and personally I wouldn't bother. His record is not comparable to Barry Lloyd, who also had to put up with Boardroom disputes, lack of investment and having players sold from under him. I wouldn't have Lloydy back either though.

Brady was good for half a season after he took over, during which we had pretty much promotion form, after that he was pants. He was a top bloke who clearly developed an affection for the Albion, a fairly decent coach, but never destined to be a great manager.

Was just a lovely bloke & I remember him taking the time to come over & talk to myself & my daughter & other fans, signing autographs at Fulham away, was very in tune with the supporters through those times. ( Well it was a home match for me as I lived in Shepherds Bush.)

I want Slade to succeed though first & foremost.

Brady had no chance the first time around.

No, money, no players, no support from the board.

Yet he still got us playing some lovely football to watch.
The ball stayed on the ground, players found space to run into, and passes went to the right feet.

We didn't score any f***ing goals, but I reckon if you gave Liam today's squad to work with, we'd all be amazed by what he could achieve.

If we don't get Coppell, I'd love to see Brady back here - won't happen though.

Ooops, sorry Russ, you haven't actually gone yet have you mate

Is he not Youth manager at Arsenal and Assistant for Eire.??

Hardly going to give that up to manage a League 1 team. (although I do beleive he still lives on or around Dyke Road Avenue)
