Probably going tomorrow night as next door neighbour but one is in the U18s and Junior wants to watch him.

Where is the nearest chip shop to the ground in Lewes ?

Turn right out of the station, up the hill passing the Lansdowne & Royal Oak on your right. At the traffic lights at teh top go straight on, past the Lamb on the right. Chippy is on your left by the twitten that goes down to the Lewes Arms.

May not be open on Monday though; can't remember.

Is the one on Western Road up by the Black Horse still going? Used to be a regular stop off point after evening matches at the Goldstone!

Pretty certain it's either a chemists or a chinese now.

If the chippy above is closed, take the same directions up the hill but turn left at the traffic lights and there's the charcoal grill which do chips, kebabs and burgers etc

Yeah remember that one too. I think it's long gone although I have no need to visit the county town these days.

As a kid every Friday, Fish & Chips from the back of the Tally Ho was something to look forward to.

Bloody hell I'm reminscing far too much here!

The bad news is I dont think any chippy's are open on a Monday night in Lewes but if they are the best one is in South Street.

Food available in the ground, game in Southern Youth League play offs v Woking kicks off at 7.45pm.

Enjoy the game

Don't go there - it is an appalling chippy. Go east along Cliffe High Street, over the river and keep walking past the brewery and the Gardners Arms. When you get to the end of the road, turn right and there is the South Street Chippy which is much much better.

The chips cooked at the Dripping Pan are excellent.

Even the burgers are above average.

Never one to disbelieve a Lord I may well try their food then.

Purchased a Pukka pie yesterday for the first time in a ground since Northampton last season and it was pretty poor to say the least.

That's the one; I too got my lunch whilst at Priory, usually with money won from the bookies on the corner!
