Neither here nor there
I've already done Firle. You get some of the pageantry, a superb display, and a much more manageable crowd. Lewes is great if you've got the energy, a very large bladder, and don't mind getting intimate with strangers who may or may not be carrying explosives.

:lolol: you fibber
No fib at all.

The question was "Which display will you be attending?" - which I take to mean "Which firesite?" I haven't been to a firesite since the mid seventies.

As ever, I shall be spreading my presence between the Cliffe, the Borough and Firle (who are walking with Waterloo this evening).

See you there, Notters.

AH, I thought your lot were always with Cliffe... I'll change it to Firesite as you suggest.

Not many of those in Cliffe High Street ... are you sure you're not defiling Bill's produce?

Oh, when I'm on the High Street I use the HUGE Withdean-stylee portacbin toilets in the car park by the Dorset, then bushes later on.

Are the fireword displays all ticket?

I havent been for years...due to living t'up north. But now ive moved back sarrrf...i quite fancy it.

I used to go to that one...as you drive into lewes and you go left at the lights near the prison...its about mile up the road on the left??

Also does anyone know of a pub in lewes where you can look down on the proceedings?

You have to pay for Cliffe and Borough, I think, but the others are free. I always go to Commercial Square in Landport (the biggest and the best). Have to recommend the John Harvey for drinking as they have an outside bar (no queue) and giant hog roast. You can only see part of the procession here though (mostly Cliffe).
