Let's face facts Coppell has gone.

I think it's time for the big man to step up to the plate, he has served 3 of the clubs best ever managers and deserves a shot at the big one now.

pros: great motivator
cons:lack of contacts, first team management.

Who are you, FG?

Those pros and cons seem all too familiar to those of a certain Martin Hinshelwood...

I agree dwayne, I would love to see Booker take the job, he is one of the reasons we have the spirit amongst the players that is clearly evident and has been for the last few years.

However, i don't think he'll take even if he is offered it.

Booker would be Hinshelwood all over again and he knows it thats why he wouldnt take it.

Anyway Coppell will stay.......

Yeah - but if that's your criteria you might as well give Charlie Oatway the job.

I think they'll make Booker and Hinshelwood joint managers until we get the news about Falmer.

Then we can offer a proper manager a long-term contract - and hopefully they might actually accept it.

Booker is a great coach and and top bloke aswell, but the whole Hinshelwood experience of last year may well have put DK off hiring internally.

SC must stay.

He would deserve the chance. We should be safe this season after the start we've made so we can afford a few defeats along the way. Let's face it this club is f***ed unless we get a ground. No point in getting in another manager who is going to be left no option but to improve his position by leaving.

Give it to Booker, He may just turn out to be great and then maybe we would have a manager that would be loyal to us. Then again he'd probably go as well.

Sometimes I hate being a fan of this club, but only for about a day and this is one of them.

We restrict the managers we can look up if we insist on keeping Booker as No 2. Wasn't that the original sticking point with SC.

I think Booker is likely, but do not let Hinshelwood anywhere near the first team.

I can't believe anyone would let Hinshelwood (Snr) near the first team again. I just hope this discussion is pointless and that we still have SC for the weekend game.

I'm with Dwayne, we cant get in big name managers with out lack of Ground, FALMER is the most important thing, give Booker a go...the worst we can get is mid table now anyway for this season :)

3rd time lucky then Goring :)

Seriously I dont think he'll be that bad, he's got a squad thats good enough to remain at leats inthe top 8 this season regardless of manager.
Hinslewood has basically a 3rd division outfit playing in the 1st so it was always gonna be tough for him, if he took charge in the 3rd I reckon he would've done OK.

booker - no way!

The players hug him after victories.

He is too close to the players.

He is a great buffer between the players and manager.
