Apparently players have not been paid, and this new investor is still not showing any money.

I think there are lessons to be learned here. I just hope we don't ever end up in a situation like this.

This new bloke does seem a bit suspect. I'm sure he'll invest big time in January though. Hopefully the scum will be too far adrift by then and Hart is still boss to continue buying championship quality players.

I think they may well get their first points away to Wolves on Saturday but wouldn't it be so lovely if they get done again

F off Pompey, Pompey F off

How very dare you! Even Wolves will beat Pompey, especially considering Ebanks-Blake and Kightly are returning from injury.

(awaits this thread to be bounced after Pompey thrash Wolves)

If Pompey are securely anchored to the bottom of the Prem in January there will be no need to fork out for new players as they will already be consigned to the Championship. Could be this fella's ambition after all , a football club that is drifting aimlessly and not costing a fortune.

I thought all their summers dealings were aimed at playing ch'ship level next year. Nothing progressive whatsoever about their ins & outs. This guy seems rather dodgy though.

The begging buckets will soon be out, they'll be ripping off small businesses, then somebody will come in and buy the club, and their twatty supporters will back to doing what they do best. i.e. bragging about the day they won the FA Cup, the 5 years in the Prem whilst telling us how potentially massive they are.

I will be soooooo happy to see Pompey back in their rightful place, outside of the top flight.
Then I won't have to listen to that f***ing BELL every time they're on the telly.

I'm not sure we can take the piss too much.
They'll still be in the same position as us, probably better. And they'll have had 5 seasons of Premiership, have won the FA Cup and played in Europe.
We were ecstatic about not being relegate to the fourth division last season!

Is he even arab? I'm half expecting the news that he's actually called Bob Smith and is some cockney bloke who bragged to his friend he could get a footie club to believe he was rich...

I think the only lesson we can learn from Pompey is that having children with your siblings has dire consequences.

Could'nt happen to a nicer club, I remember going down there in the eighties when we lost 5-1 to them. They locked us in the away end for an hour and played the radio commentary of the game back over the PA to us.

Portsmouth is only one gene way from Gillingham and visa versa, a horrible horrible place.

Looks like Pompey have been well and truly done. Serves them right for letting Chris Moyles in a sheet buy them out.
