Emergency loan? Isn't that restricted to keepers? Surely a youth player could have played up top?

Emergency loans are not for emergencies. They are simply 93 day short term loans - like Assulin and Razak last season.

They are being stopped after next season so we need to enjoy them while we can :D

It's nice that the loan system is so simple nowadays.

Emergency loans are stupid! Surely you could only ever use them if you only had 10 players available! Stupid name. Stupid idea.

They're just the same as ordinary loans, but ordinary loans would break the transfer window rules.

But the Football League told FIFA that they needed loans in cases of "emergency" and FIFA allowed them! So the word "emergency" is only there to fool FIFA.

Incredible, but true!

I think they've done well to get any kind of loan. The banks are well tight these days.

BBC has it down as a 3 month emergency loan....although they must be in the shit to sign him!

Why must they be in the shit?

Proven goal scorer with an experienced head, he might not be as good as he use to be but he's still not a bad player. They've still got Lovenkrands, King and Nathan Redmond(who I rate much better than Zaha)

Funniest thing is Palace fans were convinced he was joining them (Daily Mail had it or something) :ffsparr:

At least they didn't come on here and make a huge thread saying for about three months he was on the verge of joinng them, not this time.

Exactly, not the player he used to be

If he starts scoring goals for fun, I'll take my hat off to him!
