"Got a real tasy one in the Sunday nooner with Girona hosting Almeria. Second place takes on fourth place. Girona got a lift on Friday with the news that Marcos Tebar will be available on Sunday. He’s been one of the many reason for the team’s success. As for Almeria, Leo Ulloa has bid adieu as the Argentine packed his bags and joined English side Brighton. Big loss there."

I will have you know my Spanish girlfriend is completely nothing like a Spanish version of HB&B! She's more like a Spanish El-Abd, always patting at my manboobs and arsecheeks.

Please accept my humble apologies for such a slur on your girlfriend's character!

The latest news is that Ulloa has, in fact, reached a personal agreement to play in La Liga for Granada (the club which is owned by the same people as Udinese and Watford).

El Granada llega a un acuerdo con Leo Ulloa

However, the clubs have not reached an agreement on the transfer fee and at the moment Granada does not have any spaces left in its squad for players without an EU passport, so that transfer is in itself problematic. However, it appears from that article that Ulloa has decided he would prefer to play for Granada.

"Una ficha" is a signing. "Fichazo" means a great signing. In the same way "Golazo" means a fantastic goal.

Let's hope we haven't had this problem and have got in ahead of them!

I fear this one isn't going to happen folks. Let's hope Gus has a Plan B on the transfer front.
