Morris dives in complaining that Knight was MISUNDERSTOOD just like he is at the Horsham Bugle. Wistfully, Morris makes the parallel in his own mind as to why Knight is not playing champions league football at Real Madrid and Morris isn’t at the Times and on Mock the Week this week.

NMH will blame McGhee and defend little Leon to the death even if Knight was caught shagging his granny (with his allegedly tiny cock)

Tom Hark will post : Leon Knight He’s alright for the 1876th time. (followed by smiley)

Icy Gull will make some kind of caustic anti Knight remark.

The rest of us couldn’t care less.

Exactly. I can see why some people got upset by the way he has acted before but this is hardly a hangable offence.

I was sat in the main stand at Worthing on Saturday, as were lots of kids, and heard more than one Brighton player swearing their hearts out during the game.

What is the difference?

You've missed the point. It wasn't about Knight swearing in front of kids, it's the fact that he swore at the coach and was generally rude (whether there's an audience or not) is not acceptable and demonstrates the type of person we all know he is.

It wasn't as it turns out and now the majority of the lower league clubs know him to a be an obnoxious difficult little twat.

Bless Richie Morris - you can't help yourself can you? Pontification can quickly get tiresome and irksome - and to be fair you have kind of done a lot of this in recent weeks.

I'm sure you're a very good journalist - but you are working at a provincial newspaper ( or so I gather from previous posts you have made), where front page leads and stories are dull at best.

Leon is an interesting side-story for some posters on here - just as certian readers of your newspaper may be interested that Speckles the kitten was stuck in a tree, or that Arthur Clegnut is furious with the local council at not mending the pavement outside his house.

But none of this is of interest to the vast majority - so perhaps in furthering your journalistic career you may consider that good stories are ones that interest the 'masses'.

That should not be confused with indulging yourself with the opinion that people in any quantity would be interested in listening to YOU.

Just a thought like.
