I suggest you read up the case. The rape claim was never tested in a court. She was pressured into withdrawing the complaint by the police without a solicitor and translate present.

Next things she knows, she's been charged with an offence and none of the men were even called to present evidence in her case.

The police even left evidence in the hotel, since the next guests quite unbelievably found it lying around in the room.

Lastly the videos knocking around the internet (with the the other men) are not of her. They were not the ones used by the prosecution.

It stinks to high heaven. Clearly backfired on the authorities there who will be under pressure not to damage the tourist industry.

The judge also stated he would not hear about the alleged rape during the trial as she was not on trial for that charge (a ridiculous assertion seeing as she was accused of lying about a rape).

The whole thing stinks, the Cypriots are just trying to protect their oil interests from the Turks and didn’t want to disrupt the Cyprus-Greeec-Israel deal they were in the middle brokering.

This thread is quite interesting (in a scary way) as it shows the power of fake news and that people of low intelligence will believe anything they see on the internet if it backs up their prejudices.

A swift use of Google brings up HUNDREDS of articles about this case. Those bastions of left wing feminism The Sun and The Daily Mail have reported extensively about it, and if you just read their articles (let alone anything in the news for grown ups) you'd come to the conclusion that this poor girl was raped, fitted up by the Cypriot police and denied any form of justice. And that the animals responsible not only have previous for this type of behaviour, they've basically bragged about it.

But a few fake videos circulated in the gammon echo chamber of social media and thick, vile filth like Knight have their "proof".

And the sad cases lap it up......

No wonder it's so easy for Putin to rig elections.

"Just stick it on Snapchat. Honestly, these gimps will believe anything!".

It's the misogyny which is particularly offensive about Leon Knight, I wouldn't get drawn into the specifics of this case but I also wouldn't draw any conclusions from a grubby video doing the rounds

No. I said that some people will believe anything they see on the internet that backs up their prejudices. That's completely different to using the internet to read lots of different sources and forming an opinion on the veracity of the information based on what you've read.

E.g. Reading loads of articles from news sources as diverse as The Sun, The Guardian, Reuters, The Daily Mail, various international news sites and interviews with actual people who have hard evidence about a case VS "some fake videos I saw on Whatsapp cos they agree wiv wot I fink".

Or, reading my post and picking up on a point I didn't make (and that makes zero sense) in a failed effort to discredit it, just because you don't like it.
