1. We desperately need a striker.
2. Must have been at Chelsea same time as Poyet.
3. Leon could have come on here years ago, why now to make his peace with fans?
4. All seems a bit staged to me.
5. Everyone deserves a second chance, in some cases third and fouth chances if all the same mistakes were made when young and impetuous. At 27 his could still have a few good years ahead of him, if his head is right and he is back in love with the game.

Doesn't seem to have occurred to a few people that despite sliding steadily downwards in terms of the stature of the teams he's been with since he left here he still hasn't scored a lot of goals. The only thing he's been prolific at is causing trouble.

A proven goal scorer at his level is what we're crying out for. Giving Leon a trial would do no harm at all. If successful, any contract could be as long or as short as the club sees fit. Club could write in as many good behaviour clauses they damn well pleased. In short, they've got Leon over a barrel. I think he knows that.

But the boy's a natural born goal scorer. And affordable ones of these are few and far between.

He does seem to be more outward-looking now, mature if you like. Certainly more mature than many of the shitferbrains giving him dogs abuse on here in past few days. And just to keep the record straight, he never ever dissed the fans after he left. He clearly had issues with the manager (as did many other Albion players sharing certain other, how you say, physical characteristics...) but he never ever slagged off the fans.

To sum up:

Leon Knight
He's Alright

yes we need a striker, not a drama queen and distruptive influence. as bha points out, he is shit and has been other than two bright 6mth periods many years ago. last December he had a fight with his team mates, yet 6mths later he's matured?

please, just stop this sillyness.

Poyet did say that one player he was looking at was 'a risk' but 'was cheap'. Could it be our old neon light? I don't think so myself.

my fear is the attitude and time spent out of the game, if he is fit and motivated, he wont lose his eye for goal, fact is we dont need risks this season!

The thought that senior pro Poyet would mix with Gangsta child Leon in those days is frankly laughable.

A proven goal scorer ? How many has he scored for that teams he's played for since he left us ? Apart from his early days at Swansea he's done sod all, proven goal scorer ? He might have been once but so was Jimmy Greaves, should we sign him ?

To sum up:

Leon Knight, he's shite

If you get any further up his backside he's going to need colonic irrigation.

Let's just remind ourselves that he was, in his own words, delighted to see Brighton relegated. He was totally disrespectful to club when he left and to me, if you insult the club you insult its fans.

Finally, natural goal scorers-don't they actually score goals? He hasn't scored regularly for years. Just what we need, a goal scorer who can't score goals.

Leon Knight
He's Shite

Yeah, we got a couple of those on the books already.

I'd take a punt on Leon Knight over OGH and Holroyd any day of the week.

I guess we have to be grateful for the fact that Gus Poyet is the manager, have you been drinking or something ?

The cupboard is bare after Murray and Barnes but hopefully that will be remedied very soon. I expect to be shot down but I dont think that Barnes is good enough to be guaranteed a regular start, a good player as back up but not a natural first choice.
