Leon Knight, looks good in friendlies but put him in the hurly burly of
nationwide games and he doesnt quite do the buisness. We had him on a season
loan last term and he scored either one or two goals for us. Bags of skill
but if he was a golf ball then most defenders are going to be 9 irons (know
what I mean). He constantly gets chopped down and he is only three feet
tall;)

He is going to be a great player for us. Just hope we can extended this loan deal.

At Wednesday, he was playing first division football. We no longer, for now at least, need him to be able to do that unfortunately. I think he scored goals while at Huddersfield at this level?

Also, I'm a firm believer in horses for courses with players - they may settle in quickly and fit into a team well at one club, get transferred elsewhere and go to pot. The fact that he didn't do the business for Wednesday doesn't mean he can't here. :smokin:

Huddersfield played him up front in Div 2 and he scored a shed load, Wednesday dont forget were shit all over the park and played him out of position. He'll do well!!

More accurately, he was playing for a Second Division team against First Division defenders.

Chelsea must rate him or they'd have sold him years ago. They're not known for hanging on to English youngsters.

As has been said before he did really well for Huddersfield and was instrumental in getting them into a play off position when we won the championship.

He didn;t do so well for Wednesday because 1) it was the first division and the defenders are bigger and 2) he was played out of position.

He is a real live wire & his balance & his speed of turn are incredible.

My only concern is that because he is so quick, some of these dinosaur defenders may catch him too often as was seen on Monday V Leicester.

That Turkish Twat Izzet would have been sent off, in a normal league game, before half-time IMHO.

Proudlock went on loan from Wolves and helped them out.

Kuqi did some good stuff for them too.

Apart from that, no.

There's a Chelsea supporter here at work who really rates Knight. Thinks we're lucky to have him.

Were any players good for Sheffield Wednesday last season?

top shout!!

he was in a struggling team in a northern slum miles from where he lives. its not suprising he didnt do to well.

as far as im concerned he's a brighton boy now and will be judged by what he does in the super stripes and nothing else. or is that super (banana) skins?

I can't see why not, Berks. His loans at Hudds & Weds were both long term.

He's way way down the list at Chelsea.
