From winning the league to total disorganisation. Are they going down?
Tielemans, ndidi, barnes are adequate replacements. All seems to have gone off the rails since the owner's death in the helicopter crash. Sold key players (Mahrez, Kante etc ) without replacing them.
Just from an outside point of view
Was chatting to a Leicester fan in the bar while the Chelshit match was on. He reckons they're going down for sure. No steel in the team, soft as putty. The owner's businesses took a massive hit during covid, the Asian duty free stores, so they can't throw money at the problem.
They dont have any stands, their ground is literally a bowl. And none of it needs redeveloping? Also no Schmeicel. I remember seeing him when they won the Championship and thought he was absolutely outstanding.
Their change of ownership has clearly been very punishing. They’re focusing on redeveloping one of their stands (like Palace?) and their squad looks very thin indeed. They can score but they concede bucket loads.
They have planning permission to increase their capacity to 40,000 by extending one stand by 8000 seats. They also want to build a 6000 seat arena and other developments around the area such as a fan zone. Work has not started yet and you do wonder if it will given the prospect of relegation and what seems to be happening financially behind the scenes at club. They dont have any stands, their ground is literally a bowl. And none of it needs redeveloping?
The inside is incredibly tatty. They dont have any stands, their ground is literally a bowl. And none of it needs redeveloping?
i very much doubt the prem will act in a timely fashion by imposing a points penalty this seasonEverton should be getting some sort of points punishment if the FFP is a bad as made out, that should see them down.
Southampton are as good as gone as well
So it could be one space, think Leicester have enough to stay up
To be honest, my main takeaway from the article is that it's amazing such an obvious idiot has the motor skills to operate a keyboard.Lessons for Brighton and Brentford: How the hierarchy defeated Leicester City — The Fosse Way
After the long-awaited post-relegation club statement gave little detail on how Leicester City will set about returning to the Premier League, Jamie Barnard shares his view on where we stand in the natural order of things.www.thefosseway.net
Funny article for a number of reasons:-
What makes them think Leicester are rightfully a top flight club in this football hierarchy? Championship at best.
They actually thought the atmosphere at their identikit and part paid for stadium had an atmosphere at some time!!!
The only issue with clappers was the cost......
They think the Ashburton Army are creating an atmosphere and are the reason for Arsenal's improvement.....
Good riddance to them, what a bunch of weirdos they must be.
Funny reading about mobile ticketing, fan ID at away games, over zealous stewarding, paying for ticket exchanges etc etc. They believe this was the reason they sunk and use it as a warning to others, including us.
We're already there thanks, have been for a while as progress on the pitch has been achieved.
The real reason for them sinking, as with Southampton, is the change in ownership and the change that leads to. They fail to understand that though. Hopefully something we'll not see for a long while.
