I wouldn't write off Southampton for automatic promotion. They have 2 games in hand and still have to play the 3 teams above them.

All 3 of those games are away from home though, quite a big ask especially as Leeds and Ipswich have lost 1 home league game between them all season. Southampton seem to have hit a wobble recently, losing to Bristol City, Hull and Millwall after a long undeafted run. A win today is vital to keep the pressure on the top 3.

Beginning to look like bottling of epic proportions
Looks like Portsmouth have passed on the baton as the team who is ultimate in avoiding promotion.

Leicester missed a hatful of chnaces today, Vardy the main culprit.

What a boost for Leeds and Ipswich.

I was thinking that. It's works in their favour, as perverse as that sounds.

Now the Adkins days are long gone I'd much prefer them to well over the likes of Leeds and Leicester. Based on current standings I'd like Ipswich and Southampton to get the automatic spots, with Coventry or Preston nabbing the play-off spot! Would be nice for a bit of fresh blood in the prem, too!

Not for me Stains...

Can't stand them...Rather Leicester or Leeds than them...

Ipswich would be great though
I genuinely feel miserable just at the thought of Southampton.
Club, city, everything.
I'd be quite happy if a hole opened up in the space time continuum and the whole place disappeared into the void.

They lost, the down side to Leicester falling apart is it means Leeds are likely to go up automatically. Realistically it's 2 from 3 of Leicester, Leeds and Ipswich. Southampton look destined to the play offs where they will hopefully fail as well.
Whatever you think of Southampton I would prefer a relatively local Away match instead of a hike to West Yorkshire given that we may have another European adventure (fingers crossed) This season has already been a strain on my finances yet I only did the Dam. League aways always take precedence for me

Easy tiger! I live in Southampton and although the place is as exciting as a library it does have it’s good points - like easy access to exit with the M3 and M27, rail services to Waterloo, Brighton and up to the Midlands and the North. It also has quite of us dedicated Albion fans within its environs. Added to that, IF they manage to get back into the Premier League then I’ll only have to travel less than two miles to watch the mighty Brighton at St.Mary’s - the proviso of course that we stuff them home and away like last season. Portsmouth on the other hand . . . .

They cheated FFP to get promoted, the first time, and got away with a £7.5m fine vs. £100m in TV revenue. Joke.
I remember them paying 5m for Junior Lewes. They went into admin soon after and cheated that promotion when they had the “Come join us Bobby” banner. Don’t like them

Surely an indictment of the city when your defence of it is mostly limited to the number of ways to leave it!

But in seriousness, I have always found it to be 'okay'.

I lived in S’ton for a uni term. After coming from a similar sized conurbation but vibrant Brighton, crikey S’ton was fkn boring. Nightlife was just a Mayflower Top Rank Suite and a small club/wine bar in the centre. Hermann Göring and post war planners had turned the entire centre into a concrete dump, bar a few yards of Roman wall.
