Who is possibly available either free agent or not in a Premier 25 man squad who we may be able to get either on loan or permenant I am sure there must be a competeant one at one of the Premier London clubs DS who wont get a look in this year at their club.

My choice, but there will no chance of signing him.

The ones above him in the list are OK. Stephen Ward would be a good signing, if possible.

What is wrong with ridgewell?

In the little book of left backs.Ridgewell suffers the.same.fate.as Rosenior in that we are playing.him out of position

When will people realise that is where our problems stem from and unless we sort it now it will continue until Bong is back playing by which time we may be too far adrift to even make the play offs.

With the current form of Dunk and another injury to Greer , we don't know how serious, we could do better having Ridgewell in the position that he has played most of his career left sided CB., a la Matt Upson previously.

Bong may be back in 3 games time ? ???

We have Blackburn away, then Huddersfield and then we reach his 'early February' return date.

Yes but BG is intent on pushing his left back agenda. Like Rosenior before him Ridgewell has plenty of experience at left back. I agree that if the right specialist left back is available we should bring them in but they would need to be happy to be back up to Bong once he is back or of course to be better than Bong

Kevin Constant formally of AC Milan still available and being linked to QPR. Can also play on the wing, get him in I say. Move Ridgewell to CB.

He is not the only problem we have, but Dunk is worth a goal to the opposition in pretty much every game at the moment. He needs to be taken out of the firing line to get his mojo back and if this means finding another LB to allow Ridgewell to play in the centre, that's an option we've surely got to consider. It might be 4 - 5 games until Bong can be considered, and even then it is hard to see him playing 90 mins every game after such a long lay off.

We could alternate according to form between Calderon and Bruno a case of 6 to one half a dozen to the other but we do not have that option at left back and that is where the problem started. As I have said many times CH doesnt rate Chicksen and he is the one that should have been replaced. In an ideal world we will replace both Bruno and Calderon and bring in a cover for Bong instead of relying on a versatile defender like
LR as the cover.
