May not have made th difference but hemmed should have been off at half time . He doesn't get into the right positions

Impressed with Caldy today, kept going until the end, three games in seven days.

We were watching different games - he spent the whole game out of position...

Which admittedly isn't surprising seeing as he is, you know, playing out of position.

If we're on our third choice left back, why are we weaker on the right - it's the side so many opposition goals seem to come from of late?

I'd be more worried about our inability to clear corners, two at Derby (the second leading to a penalty), two today, one at QPR

Need to release or loan out dead wood like Chicksen and Holla etc if we are not going to use them. Clearly CH doesn't rate Chicksen if he can't make the team in his specialist position.

Completely this. Played them onside for the first goal.

He puts in a shift and all that, but against a very good Boro side he was constantly exposed for what he was. A makeshift left back who is getting old.

Chicksen would not have been any worse today.

This.

I thought CH really should have started with the experienced BZ in this match. Also he is one of our best headers of the round white thing he would have been the right player to help defend these corners.
Hopefully this will not prove to costly.

This is very very true. It's becoming very worrying. We seem totally disorganised to be honest.

Right, left, centre, we were weaker in EVERY position on the pitch today. We lost to a stronger all round tweam today, end of.

On the plus side Middlesbro were by far and away the best team we have come against this season, and with virtually half the season gone, I feel sure that they will occupy one of the automatic promotion places come May.

This started giving Boro defenders something to think about when he came on.

Why is it VERY worrying? Yes we lost fair and square today, but we won't come across many Middlesbro's this season. It was our first defeat, and we had to lose some time didn't we?

Pick ourselves up, dust our selves down, and on to Brentford on Boxing Day.

I mean our recent record at defending set pieces... I quoted a guy that quoted a guy that mentioned our recent run of conceding from corners... You're right we wont come across many 'Boros this season, but we will face more corner kicks.

He's as useful as a crisp packet in a tornado.

If Chicken is not good enough, why is he on the bench and why have we not had him replaced for someone who is good enough?

It was always likely to be the case this season that we'd need to be at the top of our game and probably with all our best players fit to get anything from the Boro games. And, from their point of view, so it should be - given their recent history and the money they've spent. Fair enough, beaten by the better team but on the first half display, we'll still beat most sides in this division. It only foundered on their rock solid defence and giving away 2 very poor goals. Full faith that we can bounce back. Whether we can finish in the top 2 given the uneven financial fight that is the Championship, who knows, but hopefully this time around we can make a better fist of the play-offs if that's where we end up.
