The takeover should be complete by next week with the person taking over allegedly Amancio Ortega, the Spanish founder of Zara and the 4th richest person in the world.

Bad news for everyone in the league, if true. There doesn't seem to be any confirmation over the new owner yet but gradually all of the members of the board are stepping down.

Well, I hated Leeds before this and I might hate them even more if I knew what Zara was.

I think Tony Bloom has proven that it's not what you've got, it's what you do with it

Yeah, investing all that Nazi gold in English football. Brilliant.

FDI inflows then, hardly a bad thing!

Good only for the fans of that club. Not for the health of the game financially.

How on earth have you worked that out? We will be one of the at 1 academies, Cortese wants to have a first 11 produced largely from the academy, hence why he's spent £15milliion on upgrading already top class facilities to help this happen. Surely that can only be good for the game?

This would be very strange if true. Ortega is from Coruna where my Wifes family are from. He invests in all sorts of things locally charities/ projects/ education but hasnt invested a penny in the local football team Deportivo Coruna. This is a team that won La Liga back in 2000 but since then has struggled financially slipping in to the second division, although they have acheived promotion back up this year. All the locals are bemused as to why he hasnt bankrolled the club with all of his wealth but he doesnt seem interested. For him to now invest in Leeds would be very bizzare.
