Just been announced that they could wll go into Administration within the next 7 days. 10 point deduction so that puts a dent in their promotion hopes tomorrow. A press conference is being called for 11am.

Is this ten-point reduction not incurred THIS season?

Seeing as they're as good as down, they might as well lose them now. Or is it carried over to next season? How does this work?

It is for next season to stop relegated teams for doing exactly as you said. That is as far as I am aware anyway.

All radio 5 now, I think if they go into Admin NOW, it won't be carried over to next seasion (well that was just said...)

Yes, I think that if they do it before the last match, they lose the 10 points this season.

Cambridge United did the same thing the year they were relegated from the League to the Conference.

When did Rotherham and Crawley go into administration? If they do go into admin.....does that mean they have limited access to the transfer market?

Boston plan to go into Administration the day after the last game so that the 10 point deduction will be next season and not this season (as it would mean they would be definitely relegated).

Once again Leeds are cheating the system - the FA needs to revise the rules to stop this.

The rule needs changing if the above still applies. It allows clubs like Leeds and Leicester to walk away from their responsibilities with no impact on their league position.

Maybe every club who uses the administration route should be automatically placed into DIvision 2. That would make them think twice about doing it.

The league should have the authority to impose the 10 point deduction at a point of their choosing over say a 6mth or year period

If true, then it's disgraceful that they can use the sysyem like this. Had Hull not won on Saturday there's no way they would do this now so any punishment should be for next season:angry:

I think they both went into administration during the close season - or at least after they had played their last match, thus they lose the points the following season.

all points deductions occur next season. Not looking good, I just want my club back.

Yep - Rotherham held it to the close season as they would have been relegated last year if they'd been docked the 10 points. Their gamble almost worked when they cleared their -10 points pretty sharpish this season.
