Why would it make it easier? If they're not good enough to go up, why should we be scared of them? Beckford will leave and they will be even weaker next year, with even less chance of going up. Brilliant stuff.
If I may make a suggestion, have any of you ever considered following professional baseball? No matter what you think of the sport, there's one thing you can't beat: season overlap.
Every spring, baseball starts a week or so after Leeds have ruined their season. (This year, it's Monday.) And every fall, football comes back just in time for me to ignore the inevitable collapse of my beloved New York Mets. It's like an unending carousel of disappointment.
So let's hear it, everybody: LET'S GO METS!
