Cheshire Cat

The most curious thing..
Small provincial club - being a bit disingenuous - champions 3 times - runners-up 5 times - FA cup winners once - FA cup runners-up 3 times - League cup winners once - League cup runners-up once - European cup runners up once - Cup Winners cup runners-up once - Fairs cup winners 2 times - Fairs cup runners-up once - 46 seasons in First Division and 12 years in the PL - as well as having one of the best ever teams in the early 1970s.

And if the Leeds owners had any brains they would sack the idiot they have as manager and give Chris Hughton anything he wanted to take over - get them promoted and then keep them in the PL. If Bielsa is manager when they get to the PL they will go straight back down and will probably be done by Christmas - they are completely undisciplined and cannot defend - they would be slaughtered in the PL.
That was forty years ago. You might was well call Huddersfield a big club because they won several titles in the 1930s.

Leeds have won nothing other than promotion from league one having only reformed in 2006 (?).

Leeds were in the PL as late as 2004 - Huddersfield were a much bigger club 90-100 years ago - but they have played most of the last 30 years in League One and if you exclude the year they got promoted to the PL through the play-offs their average league position in the Championship is 18th (19th, 17th, 16th, 19th and now 19th) - during the same period Leeds have been mid-table or higher. If 49ers Enterprisies take over Leeds from the idiots who run it then Leeds will become a force in the PL (49ers Enterprises are one of the most successful sports companies in the US).

If I was trolling my comments would have compared the success of Leeds over the years in comparison to Brighton - I didn't do that.

Sack the manager that has them top of the table ?
Take a step back. All this Chris Hughton stuff is a bit over the top.

Leeds have a squad that should have got promoted last season - they were second with 4 games to go and lost 3 of the last 4 and ended up 6 points away from automatic promotion - they beat Derby 1-0 away and then imploded at Elland Road - and this was on the cards for most of the season. They are an utterly undisciplined side - their defence is an absolute shambles - the 5-4 against Birmingham is an example. You could not rule out that they will implode again just like they did last season - because Bielsa has learnt nothing. If they do get to the PL - then instead of winning 5-4 they will end up losing games 4-1, 5-1, 6-1 because of their indiscipline (and will likely get a stack load of players sent off in the process).

I hope leeds do get promoted with that view. That's one less relegation spot to worry about

Looking at their results I don’t see the evidence. Apart from today and the 3-3 vs Cardiff there don’t seem to be any similar results. If the defense is as bad as you say they seem to have got away with it most of the season.

The squad is a good squad - 4 of the first team are loan players from the PL - White - Harrison from Man City - Costa from Wolves - Nketiah from Arsenal - on top of that they have Kiko Casilla, Pablo Hernandez and internationals from Poland, Macedonia and Switzerland - and Kalvin Phillips who is a target for Man Utd. They have a good squad - but

Leeds legend Johnny Giles - one of the sharpest minds that I have heard discussing football - is highly critical of Bielsa and his approach at Leeds. He predicted the Leeds implosion last season long before it happened - and he is just as critical about how undisciplined they are as a team this season.

white is an alright defender with smart feet but shoddy in the air. if you go look back at goals we concede on set pieces or a high ball in that is his weakness. at our level he makes up for what he lacks with his other skills but surely that will be shown up against him if he was playing to a higher level, against better teams

Swindon, but used to be Manila
They have conceded way to many goals recently..... from being the tightest defence in the Championship to shipping goals for fun.....Just shows how weak the defence is....then when we take White back it will only get worse....IF ( and I hope they dont) get promoted the will hopefully suffer large defeats week in week out.

I noticed that the White backlash has started on Waccoe.
