He got to this age in life - an this well traveled that he did not know calling a black person a ' F'ing N...' was offensive? Righto.

Why only an 8 game ban? Is that what a supporter would get?

A fair point. A supporter would clearly get a lifetime ban. Which is clearly right if it is proven, but I'm not so sure it would be right if on the balance of probabilities

An 8 game ban is pathetic. Just goes to show how out of touch the FA blazers are.

A minimum 2 year ban from all football - worldwide - plus a compulsory re-education course before he is allowed to play again after the two year ban.

As pointed out elsewhere, we fans would, quite rightly, get a lifetime Barberban if we directed such filth at a player or supporter.

The players put a critical statement out; questions why the process took 22 weeks. Didn’t get any support from Kick It Out or the PFA (which he is a member of). Sums it up by saying he’s not sure if he would report racism again !!!

Troy Townsend to busy on tv and radio, handing out white T-shirt’s to do any real work

A 2 year ban? Are you having a laugh? If he'd broken both his legs and finished his career I doubt if he'd have got an 8 day ban. Make the punishment proportionate to the crime. No doubt the great and the good on NSC will accuse me of being 'racist' for daring to express a view opposite to the 'hang and flog him' but he didn't finish the guys career he called him a name (albeit a highly offensive one). I'm not excusing the Leeds player at all he was in the wrong but to advocate effectively finishing his career for it is ridiculous.

Depressing isn't it. Get players in t-shirts, carry giant banners out onto the pitch, put it on signs around the pitch perimeter, preach endlessly about "zero tolerance". Yet when a player actually suffers racism first hand in a high profile case, there's zero support from Kick It Out, the FA, the EFL or the PFA. Nobody even bothered picking up the phone to him.

It smacks of lip service. They can talk the talk, but when it comes down to it, they're not actually up to much.
