Starry - Leeds - whatever Brighton fans may think are a HUGE football club - and all football fans like to see the Big Clubs take a fall.

I also think that the self proclaimed Champions of Europe thingy doesn't do them any favours.

And the fact that most of their fans spend their summer holidays walking around Spain with replica shirts on that are 8 sizes too small might have something to do with it !

PS Glad to hear Paddy and Callum are coming Sunday!

Heeeee!

Callum is looking forward to Sunday. I am worried that there is the potential for him to deflect to Brighton instead of Leeds, he has a Brighton fan in his class at school whose father is a ST holder at Withdean and invited Cal for a sleepover and then said "Brighton are playing XYZ, dad said he would take us if you want to go" and I was secretly hoping Cal would say sorry Leeds are playing ABC that day I can't. Instead he said, yes OK, Brighton is quick to get to.

pishhead - Bates won't sack Blacky without having someone else ready to step in. My money is on Ranieri. He is making a statement today, will either be the vote of confidence or that Blacky has been given the shove. I hope it is the former.

I don't hate Leeds because they're a 'big' club.

I hate them because they're Leeds.

That's what we mean, Leeds fans always assume they will be playing the important top letters in the alphabet whilst we play the insignificant bottom letters

We were absolutely dreadful last night. What a bunch of w*****s. Total lack of bottle. I'm afraid that Blackwell has had his time. I've always been a supporter of his. But he is tactically inept. It is a shame because he genuinely loves the club.

Blackwell's post-match analysis was the usual gibberish last night:

"I'm going to keep on doing my job and I've already turned this club around from nothing. If you look where we've come from, with no players, then I think I can turn this around - no problem.

"I think the fans are fed-up with what has happened at Leeds. They can see a situation at Sunderland, where someone comes along and pumps millions into the club - and they think 'why can't it be us?'

"I think the fans need to know the real truth about this football club - but I don't think it will ever come out in the short term. I think in the long term people will realise what a good job has been done at this football club."

The fool has totally lost the plot.

What is gibberish about those comments?

He did turn the club around. He believes the worst part of his job at Leeds is in the past and I'm inclined to believe with him.

The fans are fed up with what happened.

Unfortunately because of various clauses and deals I very much doubt Leeds fans will know the real truth about Ridsdales later days but more importantly Kranser, Levi et al for a long ole time. But one day Jacob Adler will be exposed for who he is really is and what Richmond allegedly did or didn't do!

Annoys me every time Blackwell bleats on about having no money to spend - He was quick enough blowing half a million on an untested left back that only lasted 1 season.

Not to mention the total amount spent on Robbie Blake, Rob Hulse, Richard Cresswell and David Healy. Sorry mate but Watford spent nowhere near that and are now playing premiership football (wake up, your shit and going down if you don't sort it out soon).

There was a degree of sympathy for big clubs like Forest and Wednesday dropping to the third tier, but the same won't be there for Leeds.

I dunno what all the big conspiracy theory stuff is all about. It's really simple. You spent loads of money you didn't have on really good players, so did OK for a while.

Then there was no more money and loads of debts, you had to sell them all and you became rubbish again. See? Simple.

Each and every time Blackwell loses a game he looks for lame excuses and starts whinging on about what has happened in the past. The truth is that Leeds still have a more expensive squad than many clubs in the Championship.

I listened to his interview on local radio on the way home from the recent Leeds v Cardiff game. The nonsense he was coming out with was beyond belief. We were laughing our tits off on the coach. He sounded like a desperate man, and one who had totally lost the plot.

Did you miss this bit?!?

"I think the fans are fed-up with what has happened at Leeds. They can see a situation at Sunderland, where someone comes along and pumps millions into the club - and they think 'why can't it be us?' "

Do Leeds fan really want someone to come along and pump millions into the club? Have you already forgotten what the end result was, last time that happened?

Someone with money would be nice, so long as it's their own and not financed on the ticket sales for the next twenty five years or on other players transfer fees!

I'd imagine a lot of the animosity on this board comes from two successive seasons in the Championship where Leeds fans spent the preceeding weeks coming on here telling us that they were going to thrash us out of sight, how we weren't fit for the football league adn how great Leeds United were.

The reality was eight points out of a possible 12 for the Albion but a lingering sense that clubs like Leeds are generally suported by moronic individuals who have a skewed view on life.

They're not even the highest ranked club in Yorkshire for God's sake.

Only him and Gary Kelly were left from the old regime. Seth Johnson, Eirik Bakke and Radebe were long term injuries who we were trying to offload and Duberry who was on loan. We had to promote youths to the first team and get journeymen in.

Some Blackwell signings (fees according to Soccerbase):

Rob Hulse - £1,100,000
Dan Harding - £850,000
Sean Gregan - £500,000
Robbie Blake - £800,000
Richard Cresswell - £1,150,000
David Healy - £650,000

My heart bleeds.

Now add the list of players that Blackwell has lost in his time at the club.

If you have £4,780.000 to spend on players, you should be able to lose your hold squad and still build a reasonable championship squad for that money.
