Wouldn't be surprised if Lee Peltier follows Slade to Brighton.

Yeovil Town defender/midfielder Lee Peltier is certainly not trying to dampen down speculation that he may not be at the club next season. The 23 year old still has another year left on his contract at Huish Park, but with both the club and Peltier doing little to deny that he may leave this summer, it would appear to be a bonus if the Liverpudlian is still in a green-and-white shirt in August.

Speaking to the Western Daily Press he explained that his number one priority was to get himself on holiday, but that after that he admitted that anything could happen, believing that he could play Championship level football - the very level that Peterborough United, the club rumoured to be chasing him, have just been promoted to:

"I just want to put my feet up, relax and go on holiday with my friends and family. I just want to forget about it and make sure I go and have a good break. Whatever happens will happen. But I do want to progress and I feel I am ready to do that right now. I want to play at the highest level I can and I think it is time to move on and test myself with new challenges."

In terms of Peterborough's interest, whisperings resurfaced on April 30th, with the Glovers vice-captain also believed to have been the subject of their interest in January, until injury curtailed a deal.

Posh admitted they were specifically targetting two new players who were under contract at other clubs, and although there has been no attempt to name them in the Peterborough Evening Telegraph, Director of Football Barry Fry considered their negotiations to be in advanced stages:

"Two transfers are far further advanced. We have had a bid accepted for one player and we have made another bid for a second player. Those deals are ongoing, but nothing will happen before the end of this week."

Posh have already had rebuttals for Tranmere Rovers midfielder Antony Kay and Bristol Rovers striker Rickie Lambert, but Fry made clear that these were not the two players he had in mind.

Looking at the season just gone with Yeovil, Peltier admitted to the WDP that it had been a turbulent season, adding that although he gets along well with current boss Terry Skiverton, that the decision to remove his predecessor Russell Slade had 'upset' a number of people in the Huish Park dressing room:

"Obviously it has been an up and down campaign what with the relegation fight, Russell Slade getting sacked and the new manager coming in. There have been a lot of changes but both managers have been good to me in different ways. I have nothing bad to say about either of them. However, it was just a bit odd why Russell got sacked. He had won four or five games on the spin at the time and a lot of people were upset about what happened."

He was smart on one of the old CHAMPS.

I would like to sign Jason Price who has been released from Donny Rovers.

He has COOL hair and enough to make up for Slade's lack of it.

He's got a flair name, so I think he'll be a great asset to us. Obviously.
