Leaving a job for more money

I've really been enjoying working with the public as a charity fundraiser, think its done me the world of good PROPERLY getting out there, not so much as a cleaner, its such a lonely crap job but its still money.

But someone found me a similar fundraising job which is 12k more with someone else, basically invloves a lot of people skills recruiting volunteers, working alongside the RSPB and projects, similar to the fundrasing job I have now but obviously is a far more respectable job. I haven't got it, but with the things I have done it feels like I am suited, BUT yeah there is always a but with me I have a passion to reignite a desire of drama and acting, although I have no experience other than using a camera when I was at university.

Should I go for this job? But I know, if its something I dont wanna do until I retire, I have to do something very quickly about it but I feel like I am on an inportant crossroads in my life. Even more important than when I GOT my first two jobs three months ago

Probably because you're posting it at half past eleven on a Friday evening when people are otherwise occupied not responding to attention seeking.

Have to say well done for getting out there though & keep it up because life can be great if you are open to letting it be so.

Can you not go for the job and do a part time course to getting into acting? That way if the acting works out you can quit the job and if it does not work out you still have a good job with decent income.

From what I can tell the only sensible thing to do is keep the acting as a hobby and take the other job. I dont know about the hours etc of the other job but surely you can do some acting at weekends, evenings etc and if you get rave reviews maybe start thinking more seriously about a career in it. At the moment taking a safe, well paid job has to be your priority.

I agree with that, I dont wanna pay any money on any courses until im certian and stable

so what sort of acting .......

welll for about 18months ive been loving performances by ben browder in his shows of old; farscape and stargate. currently awaiting his own creating to still be made (going homer). As well as john barrowman over the years, danielle harmer and recently benedict cumberhatch

so i guess the dream would be tv drama, but i aint gonna get that, you never do get to the top first with anything so as suggested by clarkey aswell, start from the bottom with extra cirricular acting, volunteer stuff, outside working hours so i maintain a safe job.

start local, probably theatre, maybe panto and if i like it and see something else that turns up who knows?

My advice: Stop dreaming, start living. You have a wonderful opportunity. You can't be that stupid that you believe all the stuff about "following your dream" that they peddle to make stupid people watch the X factor?

I cant belive someone is going to pay you an additional 12k to run a team when you have to ask on here if you should do it!!!

Either get on with it and make something of yourself or stop posting crap

Sorry - quoted wrong post!!!
