I'm beginning to feel really sorry for the man.

News that relevations about a third man at the FA are hardly anything to do with him are they ? Neither was her relationship with Mark Palios

Yes Sven has now had two affairs, but it looks like this women has now admitted to sleeping with three men in the office.

Wasn't Sven's first affair (lets not forget) revealed by a television presenter looking to publicise her forth coming autobiography ?

.. and his current girlfriend goes on television to talk about their sex life. She is now on the verge of a television career in this country, so she done ok by Sven.

All this talk of him being on Viagra, I think he's been very unlucky with the women !

Obviously with his roving eye, he does himself no favours at all.

But I respect that he refuses to talk about his private life.

I don't see why him talking to Chelsea was such a problem either.

The FA so desperate to keep him, offered him a greatly enhanced contract and now after a disappointing world cup can't wait to offload him if the papers are be believed. They must be desperate to give him the boot over this.

The FA could have easily stopped all this. They should have refused to comment on the personal relationships of their staff, irrespective of whether Sven was economical with the truth. I guess a few individuals have been made to look a bit stupid and now its personal.

Lets not forget...

This is the man who was willing to give his personal and public support to our campaign. Last season my brother met him at Euston station and he wished us well with the stadium.

I wish him well too, he doesn't deserve this witch hunt.

The only thing that is PATHETIC about this whole thing is how the British public want to read about it and the British "press" report it.

f***ing sad is what it is.

Oooh that man had sex 'fnnnaaarrrrr' 'snigger' 'oooooooh'

Here, there and every where
what ever you think of his private life, i still think he should go, because:
  • His supposed tactical knowledge is non existant
  • He is not prepared to make BIG decsions, whether this is:
  • Dropping a big name player for not performing
  • Maiing a substitution that could upset one of "his" "stars"
  • Unlikely to take blame for defeats
  • Sitting back on a 1-0 lead
    [/list=a]
    • He also has a CRAP haircut
    • I don't see he has done much for the national football team
    • I feel we could get a better, ENGLISh manager for less money
    • Last, but not least, he insists on playing Emile Heskey

Sorry but the FA didn't agree with you before the World Cup Del Boy, and his job isn't on the line because of his tactical errors.

I totally agree with the criticism of him over the world cup - but why does the England manager instantly now become enemy number one.

In my opinion they should have allowed him to leave after the World Cup, no point keeping someone not 100% committed to the job.

But they didnt....

The FA so desperate to keep him offered him a two year contract with another two year option on top of that.

.. and we were all very happy with that. So were the Press

Now the tide has turned over the World Cup and the affair is being used as an excuse to dump Sven.

If he is sacked and he wins compensation, that's 16 million to pay off his contract. That's 16 million the FA don't have.

The new English England manager will need to be cheaper.

Christ - who are these idiots running the game ?

Micky Adams for England :clap2:

Actually , I realised this morning that Peter Taylor has got himself back into a position where he could be considered for the assistant coach again just like he wanted two years ago.

If he has lied to his employers about this fiasco then he should go - no question. Whatever your view on how your private morals affect your public life ( I happen to think they do), if you tell serious porkies to your bosses then the working relationship cannot continue.

Either Sven is the right manager for England or he is not based on his track record in the job so far and the FA's opinion of his future plans.

His personal life has got absolutely nothing to do with it. The tabloids are a bunch of dirtmongers.

Face it we're never happy with the England manager, whoever it is. Some of us have just never accepted not having an English manager right from the start. I don't think he's a bad manager at all. Why are the English public calling for his head? So we lost to the eventual winners at the World Cup and by the narrowest of margins to the host nation and finalists at E2004. Has it never occured to them it might just be because of the crap selection of players we have to chose from? At least the squad respect him and look up to him. I wouldn't mind seeing O'Neill in charge but who else is there? McClaren? Bruce? Please. Above all we just need a bit of consistancy rather then sacking the England manager everytime some scandal about his private life breaks out.

Who are these better tactical English coaches. I know lets get Kevin Keegan back as he wont sit on a one goal lead. None of these English managers have managed abroad or with top Premier League clubs. Sven has to stay for the World Cup and after that it depends on our performance. He certainly should not be sacked for this.

I agree with you except for the O'Neill bit, would not watch England with him in charge.

For all those bitching about Sven's lack of tactical nous etc, just think back 12 years to Taylor.

Also if he goes the FA will go abroad again, probably for somebody like Gus Hiddink(sp).

At least Sven has the balls to give the young players a go too. Could you imagine Rooney starting Euro 2004 if Hoddle was in charge? He'd probably say he wasn't a "natural goalscorer".
Absolutely spot-on. Rooney wouldn't have been anywhere near Portugal if it hadn't been for Sven, he'd had at best an average season for Everton and they finished 4th bottom. When Sven first picked him it was dismissed as a 'publicity stunt'. Think of Tony 'English' Adams - he kept wanting to drop Rooney even after Switzerland and Croatia!

No, he's not the greatest manager ever (although he is maybe the best England manager, or perhaps 2nd after Venables) and yes he is LUDICROUSLY over-paid but there is NO obvious replacement, certainly nobody I've seen mentioned. There is the inexperienced MacClaren or O'Neill, (the poor man's Jack Charlton, not considered good enough for Liverpool) and ..... ?

Faria Alam has called him "disappointing" between the sheets. Reason enough to have him sacked I think.

Good excuse to get rid of a negative manager who plays not to lose rather than to win. Minimal compensation should make it a cert that he now gets the boot. Hope so anyway .
