But you can just wipe it from the records. Whatever happens, this season will not be a normal season, we all know that. Void the season and start again when safe and with every club knowing what will happen if that season gets cancelled before completion. Either wipe the slate, average points, take each division back to a point where everyone has played the same, in our case we would lose the point at Wolves. Won't make a difference to us or the clubs at the bottom. Can't be arsed to look at how it affects the other leagues.

This problem could have been anticipated and provision written into the rules of the EPL.

Liverpool have broken the record for most consecutive home wins in Prem history - currently 22 and still counting. Void the season and 15 of those wins disappear and the record goes back to Man City with 20. But the 22 game run still happened.

The all-time Prem top scorer is Alan Shearer with 260 goals. At age 27 he had 137 Prem goals. Harry Kane is 26 and has 136 goals already. 11 of those were scored in 2019/20 season. Voiding this season may mean Kane will score more Prem goals, but still be behind Shearer when he retires.

The Premier League already has a credibility issue with stats because it ignores anything that happened before 1992-93, i.e. Jimmy Greaves scored 74 more goals than Shearer in 43 fewer matches. If they void 2019/20 season then many stats from here on in will have to have an asterisk.

While I always get a bit misty eyed when an ex-league team returns (still dreaming of Glossop North End in the premier league... did it once in CM) you can't have one rule for one and ....

What about Bloody Worthing!!!!
