Excellent speech and I agree with the sentiments. I’m not sure whether schools are actually teaching this stuff as fact though. The only way of delivering such a message would be in Citizenship classes and as far as I am aware these are scrupulously balanced. I’m sure there are plenty of teachers who would like to teach it as fact but there are also avenues of complaint from parents that act as a disincentive.

When supposed sane people say “if you oppose the taking of the knee you are racist “ we’re all headed down a slippery slope. Is Wilf Zaha a racist? Are Brentford fc racists? Are all the other clubs that have decided it has gone on for to long racist?

I’m simply making the point that to accuse teachers of promoting an agenda is unfair. I don't agree this is our greatest ever squad. The greatest squad has to be the 1910 squad on any objective reading of history. But leaving that aside, I still dont think this is the greatest ever squad. The manager doesn't have a goalscorer, which is making winning games very difficult. It's the greatest midfield that I have seen and that takes us back to the mid 80's for a valued judgement. Went to games from the late 70's but too young to judge. For me Bissouma is the best midfielder I've seen play for us, but I'm sure some a little older might shout Nobby Horton at me, but I was too young to judge. I'd also raise a shout for Gotsmanov but he was a different sort of player. Before Bissouma it was Jimmy Case for me, but Bissouma is better. Mac Allister is also showing true quality now that he is being played in his correct position. It will be interesting to see how good he becomes.
