Yes - it was a bit tongue in cheek. Unfortunately the 100% was not always focused - so he went through phases of concentrating on his opponent rather than the ball. But he does deserve another year.

I doubt Owusu will sign. Two years in the sun must be quite appealing at this stage of his career.

He wants to stay he and continue with his DJ career and look after his young family. He DJ's in a few clubs and loves it and is quoted as saying " Loyd Owusu, part time football full time DJ".

I think it is good that the manager is baseing his decisions on what he knows and not what he is told. How many players have we had that have been signed on the say so of a scout?

If you perform well you get a new contract, if you perform badly or just do enough then we cannot afford to keep you. We are not a rich club and cannot afford to keep players because they occasionally put in a big game.

True but I think that may have been all the frustration of his lack of games from Wilkins coming out when he did manage to get on the pitch. He did go a bit physco on a couple of occasions when Wilkins was boss.

I have a feeling it's FA regulations to restrict player contract lengths to a year minimum.

Could be making that up though.

Hinsh got a six-month contract at the beginning of the season just gone.

I think that if Gary Hart got offered a contract for playing well in about 6 games then on that basis Sullivan, Hinshelwood, Fraser and Loft deserve a deal!!!

so why not go for hart for a year?
