grey hairs? so there’s a bonus for you, grey is so very distinguished my friend.I'm not that old mate! Someone called round tonight to see if I was OK. They said they'd never seen anybody look so frightened and white in the face as last night. It's added a few grey hairs to my sideburns though.
Thanks ever so much mate. You've set me off again!@Durlston you aren't going anywhere mate. The big man up there clearly has you covered, although not without a few scares ... so happy you are ok. I obviously don't know you but you are like me. You wear your heart on your sleeve even on a message board.
p.s. I hate hearing about suffering or sad news.... please post some lighter hearted threads
Just make sure you're up for the Man Utd v Leeds game at 8pm. It promises to be highly entertaining. As do the BBC Have Your Say comments after the final whistle.Just glad you’re okay mate. Shame about the twatty replies from a handful of tossers. Make sure you’re getting lots of rest, as others have said delayed shock/trauma is a very real thing. If you can, assign tomorrow as a duvet day…
Thank you for apologising. We've all posted stuff without thinking.Apologies if my drink driving comment was clumsy . I thought it was obvious that you had not been drinking as you would not have been posting on here . On a thread about accidents it was a reminder to everyone. I am so pleased that you are ok .
Hope you’re okAt around 6pm last night, by Penland Road in Haywards Heath, my car overturned twice and by some miracle I only suffered minor injuries. I keep having flashbacks and panic attacks caused by it. I really thought my number was up and ready to meet my maker. I could smell burning and it was only with the help of medical teams, that I was able to get out, as my foot was trapped. I was hysterical as I thought my car was going to explode.
I got taken to the Royal Sussex County hospital and was discharged very late last night. There's a picture on the Sussex Roads twitter page of the upturned vehicle.
I'm still very shaken up. Just those extra few seconds in a situation like that with an oncoming vehicle can be the difference between surviving and dying.
Has anyone else completely written off their car or had such a scary experience on the roads? Feel free to PM me if you prefer.
All the best.
Durlston.
