...Turned down. Dick Knight personally requested more tickets on New Years Day but was turned down because the police and West Ham people say they need security spaces around the albion fans. It's on the official site.

My only point to make is that seats are meant to be filled, not to be left empty for "security spaces". Surely they did not design the ground with the intention of leaving a large portion of seats unusable. Why should selling out the away end be a problem, thats what it is designed for and frankly a premiership club should be used to that?

And I DO have a ticket I'm not whinging so lay off!

Well it must be much safer to have lots of our fans in their end. Well done coppers.

You're right they didn't design the ground to have empty seats, but you have to remember that for cup games theyhave to give over a bigger percentage of seats for away fans and so their usual segregation areas wont apply.

i say in the second minute all albion in the west ham end should run across the pitch and take up the position in the empty seats and dont forget scarfs round your wrist

Not wanting to start a row........but why did it take Mr Knight until New Years Day to make this request? Surely the club has known that it was over subscribed for us?

On a different note, how do they factor in the price of hospitality packages when splitting the gate receipts? Presumably there is a 'match ticket' element within the price.

I suspect this is actually bollocks.

My ticket application was returned BEFORE new years day. I would have been ROYALLY pissed off if it had been returned only for us to get more tickets!

But it does seem that the club have a reserve list, so they have pressumably taken contact details and if tickets come up you would get a call and pay for them over the phone.

I would guess IF it went to a replay, season tickets would get first dibs and then those that have ticket stubs from the Round 1 and Round 2 games would be next in line.

I would have thought STH and then those who couldn't make the first game, as they would want to satisfy the disgruntled masses.

yay for the phone in, but now it's on the official site. And if the club are saying Dick asked on New Year's day then surely this specific incident could only have been mentioned once?
