The Samsung ! Believe me Sony PCs are very overpriced and have questionable reliability.

Trouble with the Netbook is the keyboard is small so easy to make typos

And to give you RSI. Laptop keyboards are bad enough for causing repetitive strain because they aren't ergonomic, but at least you get more space for your hands than you do on a netbook.

I've got that Samsung netbook and it's good stuff, had to purchase a seperate disc drive for it obviously but they are dirt cheap.

I just would not buy anything Sony purely because they are overpriced.

I've got a sony CS laptop and I love it, light, portable and quick - got it cheap off ebay but it was a sealed box so I registered and have warranty - hurrah result....

Sony PCs are shit, get a netbook, although you can get much better netbooks than that

Of course its only my opinion, and I admit I have never owned one myself, but they are the laptop of choice at work, and they are forever being complained about by my colleagues that have company machines.
I use a Toshiba Satellite and its brilliant.

I've got the nc10. In fact, I'm using it right now. Great bit of kit. Recommend.
Beach Hut is talking bollocks BTW.

I agree with BHE on this - we had a few Vaios in our office and they were nothing but trouble. They look great but the HDD breaks down too often.

I've heard good things about Samsungs: Acers are meant to be pretty good too.

i am ytping this on my samsding netobook and hove no problen with typod dur to the small keyboard

:p

But seriously, NC10 is very good, I also bought the separate DVD drive, which is helpfull, and upped the Ram to 2GB. Just waiting for my Windows 7 to load on it.

I'm looking for advice too!

I need a netbook to take with me on travels to be able to access emails and the web. Ideally something that will synchronise easily with Outlook when i get back so I can update my office PC. Needs to have some storage space for documents although presumably I can take a separate memory stick.

No need for large downloads, games, etc.

All suggestions gratefully received.

Netbooks will certainly fit the bill. I would grab a copy of a PC magazine and see which one they are rating highly. They all come with a 160GB HDD or there abouts, so plenty of space. And as it is a fully operational Windows computer it syncs perfectly with your office PC. And you can use remote desktop to log on to your office too.

I love my Dell Inspiron 1525 laptop - if doing alot of typing I just plug in a conventional keyboard

Find laptops a bit heavy after a while when using in lazy position ie: laying on bed/couch get a bit warm also - therefore looking for additional net book for this and travelling
