Reading the "Should David Beckham start" thread, I thought it much more relevant to ask should Frankie boy be in the starting eleven? Well..?

Beckham plays for some Mickey mouse team in a mickey mouse footballing country & consequently has Mickey mouse fitness levels. Love or hate Frank, he plays for one of the best teams in the country and is frequently their highest scoring midfielder. I think its much more relevant to ask Should Beckham play given that he hasn't had a great game for England for 6 years. At least Lampards last good game dates back to 2 or so.

That said, even my wife knows that Lampard and Gerrard in the same team rarely works. Its GCSE football. Play one or the other, we know where it leads when we try and play both.

I don't think he should. I accept he plays for the one of the best teams in the country and scores a lot of goals, but he never fails to disappoint when playing for England. He strolls around like he owns the place, without actually DOING anything. Either Barry or Hargreaves (I think he's injury-free now?) should take his place.

Well, this is the point. I'm not saying he's crap, I just don't know where he fits into the starting eleven.

Definitely not. Well, not unless we drop Gerard.

The ruddy faced prick needs to grow some bollocks and piss off one of them. Which is the sort of decision he is paid to make.

Yes he should, as he is currently our best midfielder.

Nut I'm sure the out of form and overrated anyway Gerrard and retired celebrity Beckham will start.

Because they're POPULAR.

Yes, but only because we are lacking in strikers and he should be able to get forward more in a 4-5-1.

Absolutely, it's a no brainer, why wouldn't you play one of the best players in the world who is currently on top of his game??
