Minutes silence was impeccably done at Reading last Saturday with 4000 odd away fans so you're point isn't exactly valid.

Ow yeah, I was only talking about one game. Ever. The Reading one. Not the thousands of football games since clapping was introduced. Because minutes silences were constantly interrupted. As the post below yours points out. Sorry for the sarcasm but hey, you kinda earnt it!

Usually at football matches the minutes silence is usually started bt the referee blowing his whistle, maybe the fans that stated the clapping didn't hear the announcement as they were walking up from the concourse.
Just a thought and I'm sure they weren't being disrespectful.
