Labour genuinely believe in trying to provide a wider range of opportunities for the many, not just the few. No way am I sneering at anyone 'striving to better yourself and your familys quality of life' it's just that some people need more of a helping hand to do that than others.

Quite agree with you about the MPs tho, well many of them anyway.

They want and now have a country of mediocrity where the average is applauded. All being equal usually means all being shite. Why should all the hard working people and familiies in this country who get off their arses and work 60 hours a week and pass professional qualifications to build up a career have all their money pillaged to fund shirkers and single mothers and ambulance chasers. Just a thought but maybe just maybe some of these people who earn a low wage do because just a thought they did not do any work at school passed no exams or are bad workers.

Surely even the most selfish of Tories can see that having a safety net is a good thing? Just try losing your job in Amerika. You lose your health care benefits at the same time. Is that what you really want? You think your fancy private health care will want to know you if you ever get REALLY sick? Think again. Then think about why you are knee-jerk slagging off a Labour government. And don't even get me STARTED on the minimum wage

Gordon Brown raped the company pension funds by stealing additional "tax" . As a result everybody planning for the future has put their pension pots into property as this was supposed to be a surefire bet . Those people who have now lost thousands on their investment savings are unlikely to reward this Government with a 4th term in office.
