Maybe it's a case of holding out for the best deal or, more likely, wants too much money and no one has met his demands (which will drop as the season gets closer)

Maybe because he isnt as good as people actually think ? Great in his first season with us, average in the second.
Can only assume his wage demands are too high, Blackpool who had no goalkeepers didnt even go for him.

He was one of a few that were released by SAF at the time Butt, Neville, Beckham etc all got contracts. Savage always said it was the worst day of his life, but made him all the more committed to prove to SAF that he could make it. I guess he did to a degree.

Got to be his wage demands, ability wise he is definitely championship quality in my opinion.
