Tiverton Town manager Martyn Rogers has snapped up former Luton Town striker Kurt Nogan to complete a New Year triple transfer raid. Already buoyed by the arrivals of former Exeter City midfielder Paul Buckle and discarded Dorchester Town centre-back Mike Walker, Rogers clinched the signature of Nogan at the weekend.

Nogan cost £500,000 in transfers in his league career, which also took him to Brighton and Hove Albion, Burnley, Preston North End and Cardiff City.

"His career was ended early by an Achilles injury but he really wants to come here," said Rogers.

FRUIT OF THE BLOOM
Quality the wifes family all live in Tiverton, might be able to catch a game and watch the great man play again !:)

Towards the end of his Albion career he was pants. Getting £250'000 for him was a smart piece of business. Not to be 'sniffed' at..... ???

Brighton
I once met Kurt Nogan in a Cardiff night club and had a chat with him. At the time he had just joined Cardiff, when many Brighton fans had wished that he would join us. He was a thoroughly nice chap and told me how much he loved Brighton, the club and its fans and how tempted he had been to rejoin. However, he was a Cardiff boy, Cardiff supporter and was dying to show the Welsh fans what he could do. I'm sorry it never worked out for him.

Best of luck Kurt. :clap2:

Kurt has to belong to that long list of players who showed great promise with the Albion before moving elsewhere and never really producing the goods.

It left me wondering who has gone on to far greater things after leaving the Albion and the only name I could come up with was Mark Lawrenson, plus possibly John Byrne and Dean Saunders at a push.
