FDM kicking is always a heart in the mouth moment, but you can't deny his saves today really did help us win today. Espically that save off Harris header, which looked destined for the top corner.

Dunno what Kuipers did wrong today. Couple of dodgy kicks, but not calamitous, and a few other 'moments' were more to do with the defence giving him the ball when he clearly didn't want it. Made one brilliant save as well - the Harris header.

The great thing about Forster is that even when he's not at the top of his game, he just keeps going. Two or three superb crosses (the first which Birchall contrived to miss from six yards with an open goal). I'd say all in all he had an excellent game. My choice for MOTM, incidentally, would be Whing - great defending, and getting forward whenever possible.

You don't think the team appreciate our support. It was pretty obvious from their reaction to day that they do. Great support from us yesterday.

Not at the game, but from the SCR commentry it sounded like Kuipers kept us in it on more than one occasion.

Michel is who he is.... can make great saves, reasonably reliable but kicking not great and prone to make errors. No doubt Sullivan is our future, not Michel.

HOWEVER... Michel did well today and kept a clean sheet.... therefore he keeps his place and should do so unless he has a bad game. Goalkeeper is one positions where we have few worries and real competition. Hopefully this will inspire Michel.

That was entirely Kuipers fault as the keeper should take charge, we will see another one in the not too distant future.

Were you on the pitch next to him to confirm he didn't call to Virgs to leave it? He seemed pretty pissed of with him afterwards for getting in the way of his clearance attempt.

And anyway, Sully's kicking has been absolutely dire in his last few games. So no reason to bring him back when you have Kuipers' shot stopping.

I listented to their entire show yesterday, and I didn't hear one reference to Forster being "below par".

Michel is a very good league 1 goalkeeper, his kicking isn't any good but what do you want from a keeper at our level? He kept us in the game yesterday fro what they were saying on SCR, and it's not the first time. The people who dislike him don't really seem to have anything to back it up. He's been the best goalkeeper we've had since, Digweed? Beeney? And they were in the 80s!

As a shot stopper, I would say that he is better than Moseley, Digweed, Keeley (in fact any goalkeeper we've had in the last 25 years with the possible exception of Beeney). His kicking has always been poor and he's always had his 'Michel moments', but on balance, particularly with an inexperienced back 4, I'd pick him over Sullivan for the time being. As others have said, it's a close call and Sully is the future.

That's something I don't understand-Kuipers' kicking is considered by many on here to be shit-despite it being no worse than possibly 95% of all goalkeepers. Sullivan's kicking is no better than Kuipers' but he is considered to be a better kicker?

Personally, I want the goalkeeper who is going to give us a chance of winning by stopping the opposition scoring-if he can kick well then that's a bonus-and Kuipers seems to be the one right now. Fortunately we have two decent goalkeepers at the club-one coming to the end of his playing career and one starting out so we're in a great position. Sullivan will get his chances and will eventually be our regular starting keeper so no need to rush things.

I wasn't at the Millwall game but listening to SCR's commentary it was like Kuipers did more than anybody to keep us in the game in the first half-he made so many saves but still gets criticised on NSC for a 'wobble or two'.

I would agree that he is a good shot stopper. I wouldn't however put him anywhere near John Keeley as far as shot stopping goes. Sounds like he played well yesterday so I'm more than happy to keep him in the team.

Obviously I wasn't on the pitch but he always blames anyone but himself everytime something goes wrong - it is not as if we have not seen it before is it.
