He doesn't seem to come off his goalline anymore and on the odd occassion he does makes a flap at the ball. Thing is , you start to moan and then he goes and makes a wonder save.

Kuipers had a desperately poor game in all departments, although he wasn't helped by some comic book defending. However, if any of our players were consistently good, or even average, they would not be playing for us.

Defence are nervous because they don't trust Kuipers especially Virgo.

It was his worst game for a while and he deserves to be dropped for the next game.

At last someone who thinks Kuipers is not playing well. Get Smith in and give him a run in the side before he leaves.

Based on recent performances from Kuipers, Graeme Smith must be wondering what on earth he has done coming to Brighton.

If they stopped worrying about Kuipers, maybe they'd be able to concentrate on what they're paid to do.

Kuipers is a very ordinary keeper, who has now gone over the top.
The only strength he has ever had is as a shot stopper.
Blast something at him from 5 yards, when he has no time to think and he will block it.
1) Drill a low shot across him from 20 yards plus and it will beat him. He has never worked out his angles.
2) Fire any rising shot to either top corner from 20 yards plus and it will beat him...he hasn't got the spring to get up and across. Athletically, he hasn't got it.
3) Play any low ball fast and hard across the box and he is caught in no mans land.
4) He has never been consistent...something you always look for in good keepers.
5) His distribution is terrible

and on paper too good for us if im perfectly honest. UEFA Cup experience for f*** sake and ex-motherwell number one too. Dont understand the correlation of him being on the bench and the FDM still wearing the number one shirt.....:shootself

Thought O'Sullivan had a great run up to the Luton game last season where he was replaced with Kuipers who made that total cock up and gifted Luton their first goal.

I honestly thought that Sully was going to be his natural successor and was well surprised when he was packed off to Millwall.

From what I've seen of Smith, no disrespect, but we should have stuck with Sully. Would have saved us a few quid cos I think he is on par with Smith if not better.

Think its a bit strong to call Kuipers shocking after a below par display today though.

Agreed Kuipers has not been at his best recently but over the past 2/3 seasons he has saved us on numerous occasions,It cant help playing behind our defence.
