Has Sullivan put a dent in the claim of Kuipers beinga better shot stopper tonight.

one SUPERB reaction save from a rebound off the bar, and a good save in the second half which he pushed away, although it did appear to be something of a camera save

keep him in i say - a clean sheet at leicester is an excellent return

Right now we have no choice but to leave Sully in the team..... can you imagine what it would do to the player's confidence if you dropped him after that performance? Kuipers has either to wait for Sully to slip up or have a couple of blinders for the reserves that make it impossible for him to be left out. If Sully continues his form he is the future.

I agree with this.

The only other altenative that would not totally knock Sully's confidence is having a rotating keeper policy. This is what happened at Wolves earlier this season when they were in a similar position to us - one decent keeper returning from injury and one young'un who had been fantastic in the number 1's absence. However, I think this would only serve to disrupt the defence.

One match isn't going to prove that one way or the other, surely? Even 10 matches won't necessarily prove it.

FDM might still be the better keeper overall but Sullivan should keep his place because he has not let us down. Much depends on how Sullivan performs over a more extended period.

One area in which Sully can be better than FDM is his kicking. His kicking technique is far superior but so far the end result hasn't proved to be any better than FDM's because he can't get his range right - so many kicks into touch or into the opposing penalty area.

We'll all have different opinions, but we should be pleased at what we have with an excellent back-up whoever is the first choice.
