Kuipers having a go at that bloke

Anyone else hear that bloke having a go at Kuipers in the first half because he sent a couple of goal kicks out of play?

I heard some smart arse shouting "try aiming between the two white lines, Kuipers" at the FDM when he took his next kick.

FDM then turned around and gave the guy a mouthful of abuse back. Can't say I blame Michel either, though it was slightly worrying how easily he was distracted from the game as a result. Lucky he didn't get the ball for a while. It did prove Charlie Oatway's recent point, however, that Michel is very easy to wind up.

Whoever the "fan" was, I really couldn't see the need to take the piss out of the FDM like that. It was windier that it appeared from where we sat, and Watford's keeper did exactly the same in the second half. FFS, he's our player, if you're going to take the piss, do it to our opponents, don't aim the comments at the boys in blue and white.

Guy on the left side in Burgundy top.Looked a bit embarassed and at half time clapped Kuipers. Also surprised by Kuipers reaction. Why didn't he kick from the right hand side of the goal if the wind was taking his kicks out ?

Not wishing to criticise players after a superb performance, but we could all tell that the wind was blowing from right to left and the FDM took his kicks from the left hand side of the box to the left hand side line, twice in quick succession the wind took the ball out, or if an Albion player didn't get to the ball before it bounced it went straight out of play. Just thought it strange that he should've realised this and adjusted his kicking accordingly, but didn't seem to.

Watford's keeper kept his kicks much more accurate than FDM, who I thought was very poor yesterday. I doubt McGhee would have been impressed, but will Roberts ever be back?

FDM played well on Saturday... came off his line at the right time (unlike too many times a la Roberts)... the only serious mistake he has made all season was at Wigan for one of their goals...

FFS... get off his back... he is, IMHO, a better 'keeper than Roberts, less risky... but I will admit that it is very, very close... some on here seem to back Roberts without any good justification...

Couldn't actually make out what Kuipers said to the bloke, but he was clearly very wound up by it.

Just thought at the time it wasn't terribly constructive, I'm sure the FDM had worked out by that point that the wind was affecting his kicking, and he subsequently changed it.

FDM was clearly heard shouting at the bloke:

'Look, for the last time, I was NOT a chef'

Roberts v Kuipers

Kicking - Roberts
Handling - Roberts, although Kuiper's has improved durastically
Punching/ Parrying - Kuipers
Organisation - Roberts, hence 5 clean sheets on spin last season
Shot Stopping - Kuipers, least we expect. former dutch marine etc.

Total Score

Roberts 3 - 2 Kuipers

Although in truth either way, i'd not be pissed.
The Albion have been blessed with quality goalkeepers in recent years.

Kuipers
Roberts
Beasant
Jones
Petterson
Cartwright

He has a back problem but a surgeon cannot find anything specific to operate on so it will just take it's time to get better.
