Just what the title says. I have always known left from right even if I sometimes have to give a few extra thoughts to it when given directions! but what always gets me is things like North East, or North West. I always have to picture in my mind North, South, then East and west. Only takes a second but to "find my direction" but think at times I ought know a direction immediately without going through "the process"....Ps I only thought this after watching a tv programme, where a child was asked if they knew there left from there right

i'm so bad at left and right that i'm scared to take driving lessons.
i have to make the L shape with my hand and thumb sometimes.

Thats why I never drove, i am sure. The whole idea of who gives way to whom on the road would fill me with fear, hence never driven

The main reason I know my left and right because I used to suck my LEFT thumb (but I didn't stroke my ear at the same time, or have a blanket - honest).
My missus is hopeless with left and right. If I'm driving and she's giving me directions, its always "turn my way" or ""turn your way", otherwise she gets flustered.
