Knight to fill gap left by Zamora

Brighton loan signing Leon Knight has promised Albion fans he will play a key part in the Seagulls' strikeforce next season.
The Chelsea striker, who last month agreed a two-month loan deal at the Withdean after spending last season with Sheffield Wednesday, is confident he can play a big role in Steve Coppell's side.

Knight told the Telegraph: "I am pleased with my all-round game at the moment.

"I've still got to work on a bit of fitness. I would say I'm about 90 per cent fit.

"I believe if I get chances I will score. I don't think there is a limit on any striker if they get the service and are confident in themselves.

"I played at Withdean against Brighton for Huddersfield and they were a good crowd then, so I'm really looking forward to playing in front of them."

Looks a real gem, still think we need someone good (and tall)alongside him though.

Definitely. Then we'd have a partnership that would over 30 goals between them and make up for Bobby's departure.

Knight looked quality tonight, but I agree need somenone tall to play alsongside him
Not necessarily. There was a cross into the box from the right this evening - which he dealt with by a good header, while the defenders had real difficulties crouching down to reach it.

This could be a very effective move if regularly repeated.

:)

I'd prefer Rougier. Ok he's not Pele but he's done something McPhee has failed to do - score for us, plus he's availabe on a freeeeeeeeeeeeee! :clap2:

He's available on a free, has been since the end of last season and STILL nobody has approached Pardew for him.

Surely that tells you HE'S A FCUKING DONKEY. If he wasn't he'd be settling in now with his new team-mates.

Please God not Rougier
Please God not Rougier

Please God not Rougier

Yes but the defender might not bend down to header, they ,ight attempt to kick it. this could means Knight gets injuries reguarly. ???
