Serious question, and don't just call me a licker etc..

If Dick Knight resigns, who comes in a chairman? Bearing in mind that Ken Brown runs the club day to day will changing the chairman make any difference.

I don't think it's like changing the manager from one season to the next, if a new bloke comes in and we still do shit do we get rid of him as well? Or if a new bloke comes in and we do well for two seasons and get promoted, then get relegated the next season do we just change the chairman again?

You lot are pathetic, really pathetic. You just can't live without a scapegoat, can you. Slade hasn't been here long enough to be scapegoat, so you turn to the only other option.

If you haven't noticed, we have small crowds, are near the bottom of the division - but nevertheless we are building a brand new stadium and have not had to go into administration. That is a huge testimony to the ability of Dick Knight. Most chairmen wouldn't have been able to keep our club going. All hail Sir Dick!

Because he saved us over TEN years ago.

That was 10 years ago and this is now....we have a new generation of fans coming thru who have no idea what happened 10 yrs ago and in all honesty probably don't really care .....Just don't want to see Dick staying put for staying puts sake and becoming something of a dinosaur who only makes an appearance when something good happens,,,he really needs to give a date for a fans forum now to clear all the questions over what happened at the start of the season....thats where it all went wrong and i think it would have been the same for any manager that came in to replace Dean because it obviously affected the players more than anyone could have dreamed of.

knight sacked a manager who got us to seventh and replaced him with his mate who was unemployed, gave him a bigger budget who wasted that budget on loan players.
knight still would not sack adams when we started to freefall down the league, when adams decided to quit it was to late.this makes knight responsible in part, with that in mind i have moved off the fence to say he must go.if knight comes out and appologises for the fcuk up of this season i might go back to getting splinters on my arse .

I agree in sentiment with both portslade and jessie.

I think Dick probably knows it's time to move aside, but in my firm opinion, he deserves to lead us out at Falmer, have a stand named after him, and a bar for all I care, even if it is the best stadium in the blue square.

Yes, he sure as hell f***ed with the adams debacle, but if we were now in the play offs, we'd all be saying what a top decision he made. He got it wrong, we have to get on with it.

Just remember who he replaced and be grateful for all the graft he's put in.

Without him we wouldn't have a football club.
