Is Liverpools manager any good? Can hardly claim to be anything other than (and stretching this) ordinary.

He's inherited a complete dogs dinner of a squad there. That said, not too clever starting with no strikers at home.

Definitely a dogs dinner squad. But some of his squad selections are questionable as you say Easy. Doesn't seem to motivate particularly. Ow well, sure another 26years will soon pass! Can't ever see Liverpool winning another title. The new Newcastle.

All these hotshot EuroManagers start off the same wacky megalomaniac way when they come over here. They all soon start to crumble though, when they don't produce the goods. Nevermind, stack of clubs worldwide queueing up for them to fail to produce the goods all over again.

There is a lot of truth in what you say. The Football Industry is a multi million pound earner here in the UK. I do not know any other industry which is so keen to see the income it generates, shipped overseas in the purchase of players and managers.

If it happened in any other industry then the government would step in to try and stop the slide. Well maybe not but you would hope they would at least try. The Champions League is the worst thing ever to happen to football because the top teams pursuit of that trophy is nothing short of paranoia

If they're in it for the long term then they'd probably already written off this season.

Let him steer them to a safe mid table finish, hopefully missing out on the Europa League, and then he can begin the clear out in the Summer. I accept they've been a little unfortunate with injuries but even allowing for that, their strongest XI isn't really good enough for a top four spot and you can't really fix that in the January window.

Gone are the days of Gerrard and Suarez lifting the rest of the squad and they're now left with a very average side, the entire core of which needs replacing. Sub par keeper, too much reliance on the aging Toure in defence, nobody in midfield to grab a game by the balls and their only half decent striker is a crock.

Don't think you can level too much blame on Klopp all things considered and it would be unfair to judge him on this season given what he's had to work with.

This summer is going to be really big for them and it will be interesting to see what sort of talent they can attract given they face another year with no European football. A history of success counts for little in this day and age so they are going to have to face up to the fact that Leicester City are going to be a bigger draw for the best players come the summer window

Strange then that Di Matteo, Benitez have won the Champions League over here.

Klopp has inherited a very poor squad and had to deal with one of the leagues worst injury lists as well.
Better to judge him next season for sure.

We have our injury problems and we got a fair few games and points under our belt before they kicked in. Klopp has been in charge for only 14 games, if he was manager of us under these circumstances the Sack Him threads would have been plenty. Like Chris who had a lot of games last season to assess... these decent managers must be given time otherwise you could end up with a Charlton scenario, keep sacking and still no improvement.

Let's be honest he seems to think most the squad is shit as well. Can see him shifting about half of it on

Colossal Squid makes a great point! How times have changed. Players will be choosing Leicester over Liverpool this summer!

He may prove to excellent, but he hasn't yet coached his team how to defend at corners.

He will be become one of Liverpools greatest managers if given plenty of time to assemble his own squad over the next two seasons starting from the Summer.
