BBC SPORT | Football | My Club | Newcastle | Kinnear embroiled in N'Zogbia row

Don't get me wrong, I've enjoyed the many chuckles that Newcastle have given the English public, especially since Kinnear moved to Castle Greyskull.

However, I've got to say I fully agree with him here:

"Sadly, this just smacks of a desperate attempt to engineer a move away from Newcastle United," said the manager.

N'Zogbia sounds like an absolute twat and the worst kind of footballer, forever engineering a move to line his pockets instead of knuckling down and working for an employer who already pay him HANDSOMELY.

Kinnear called him 'insomnia' 8 times during an interview. I wouldn't want to play for somebody who did that.

.....and no. I wouldn't want to stay either if I were N'zogbia.
No matter how overpaid, even a footballer is worthy of respect from his employer

I understand what you're all saying, but you can either maintain some professionalism and prove him wrong, or you can just continue whining like a muppet.

I've missed the point here - did Kinnear DELIBERATELY call him that?

If not, my name is always getting mispronounced left right and centre by people who should know better - but you've just got to get on with it!

This is my favourite ever footballing quote concerning a Newcastle manager...

'Reporter to Newcastle's Shola Ameobi: 'Do you have a nickname?'
Ameobi: 'No, not really'
Reporter: 'So what does Bobby Robson call you?'
Ameobi: 'Carl Cort.'

This is my favourite ever footballing quote concerning a Newcastle manager...

These are mine;

'He can't speak Turkey, but you can tell he's delighted.' - Kevin Keegan

'The good news for Nigeria is that they're two-nil down very early in the game' - Kevin Keegan

'We managed to wrong a few rights.' - Kevin Keegan

'As far as I'm concerned, Danny Tiatto doesn't exist' - Kevin Keegan

Or, my personal favourite:

'No team won anything without a dodgy keeper.' - Bobby Robson

Although, yours is more relevant

Kinnear did a very good job at Wimbledon. Mind you, he didn't have to suffer any overpaid prima donnas there!

It's N'Zogbia's fault for having such a ridiculous name :D

I don't take much notice of the Millionaires league so had no opinion of Insomnia till I went to St James' a couple of weeks ago. He looked the best player on the park.

Well if he really wants to get away? and perhaps move nearer to home?

Could do a job? ;)

you hardly need an excuse to "engineer" a move away from a club, especially one headed the way Newcastel is. i think he's well within his rights to be pissed at his managers ignorance. having said that, he shouldnt use this as an excuse but be open - he wants to play somewhere better/more money whatever.

I f***ing Love Joe Kinnear, best manager EVER

The blokes a clown and belongs back in the 90's with Howard Wilkinson. Absolutely hopeless and will without doubt take Newcastle down now with Owen and Barton out for a while (add to that todays 'glamour' signing of Kevin Nolan). Some managers have it and it stands out a mile, while some don't and its also painfully obvious. I can just imagine everything at Newcastle being a shambles, same goes for Portsmouth after watching Tony Adams trying to look all calm and collected during a press conference talking about Saviola this week but ending up looking a tool.

And I'm adding Tony Mowbray to my list now after this cracker of a comment about refs: "It can irritate you them calling players by the first name and trying to calm them down being pally"

Very surprised by Nolan - swapping one dickhead of a manager for another.....only his chances of being relegated seem to have improved
