Kayal is oddly underrated by many, he's got bite and lacks discipline at times but he has a work rate which wouldn't go amiss at the moment, not to mention more actual quality on the ball than people appreciate. He makes things happen, and we need things to happen at the moment!

2 days to get a loan or will he be in the 25 man squad to reinforce our central midfield ?

Kayal posted a video on Instagram last night of him being filmed for a film of some kind, Andone replied with laughing smileys, Jahanbakhsh asked what was funny about the video and then Kayal also responded with puzzlement. Strange!

Agree. It's getting him on the pitch that's the problem though. If he gets a run of games then he is the player you 're saying he is ... if

Saw that and had assumed it was something lost in translation.

There's also something on his timeline from his wife referencing Maccabi Haifa and (sic) "Mabye soon?"...

He's out of contract in the summer isn't he? That would mean he's free to negotiate a deal, and sign a pre-contract agreement, with another club (outside of England). Maybe his wife is dropping him a hint on where she'd like him to end up.

Big fan of his and I think he was a top Championship player, very under-rated at the time. That said if he was still here he'd be 24th or 25th player in the squad and rightly should be. Useful perhaps but burried deep down so no issue at all when he went out on loan for game time. Just wish he'd been fit for a proper run of them as might have had a bit of value then.

Could have been like our Northern Irishman who ended up kicking on with Sheff Utd with a lot of luck and the right system. *Also see Ashley Barnes.

There are many worse places to live than Tel Aviv.

Went there for a week a couple of years ago. Was very impressed, Young vibrant city by the sea. Friendly people that I spoke to, quite a young population not dissimilar to Brighton. Lots of nice restaurants, bars, live music and comedy venues. Felt very cosmopolitan and safe.

Gorgeous white sandy beaches. Police very low key. Mainly seem to be helping tourists with directions.

The only downside is the price , it’s much dearer than say turkey or Greece but the hotels are mainly a very high standard with very good food and facilities . Spas , swimming pools, tennis courts etc

I can see why Mrs Kayal would want to settle back there again. Fab weather too.

If you want to see what he could bring to the team, if fit, have a good look at our results when he played last season and who he played with in m/f.

Care to expand for those us too lazy to look it up?

As an Israeli Arab, he might think twice before returning home, given their government’s wish to change the rules on citizenship and the latest proposal which would give much of their land to future Palestinian state.

Can't find that on The Argus site but would expect that it relates to the current 25 man squad not next seasons, so of little consequence. As it stands he is out of contract in the summer.

How hard did you strike your keyboard writing that?
