The unemployment rate in Spain was at just under 26% for the last quarter (recently increased by one, thanks to us), so I'm sure they won't be short of applicants for the position.

Abdicating to ensure he has time free for other activities..?

He could do a job!

Does he have his badges? Does he favour a more attacking style? Hope he doesn't just stick with one up front!

Increased by ONE?

Spanish Dave, Oscar, Oscar's hangers-on, and Andrea Orlandi ( )

Well, it would just be "Juan Carlos's blue & white army" by then.

I wonder if you'd still have to refer to him as "Your majesty" or "Your highness" in the dressing room after he quit? I mean, ex presidents of the USA still get called Mr President after leaving office.

Well I wasn't sure if Oscar's gang had left (apart from Orlandi, I know he's gone :( ).

It's a great pity the soon-to-be former monarch never took up officiating.

I've applied for the job - I speak a few words of Spanish and I'm good with queens.
