It's an even bigger shock to be told you have cancer then the bigger journey begins on beating the disease.
It takes a toll on yr body, mind, physical well being and not so much advertised, loved ones.

It isn't. The Palace have decided to make this public unusually and hopefully it will raise the profile that out NHS cancer detection rates are appalling.

Like myself many others will be drawing parallels with their own personal experience.

I wish him well, it's a horrible disease.

That isn’t his fault. Rich man has private health care could apply to millions. It didn’t save his grandfather who died aged 52.

It’s the government who use taxes for good like funding the NHS or profiteering.

I survived a huge tumour in 2019, thanks to an amazing medical team at NHS St Marks, Harrow. A thirteen hour operation, they all came in on a Saturday, for no pay. Up and down the country these people are live savers.

Genuinely, I didn’t get the impression at the time that if I was wealthy, it would’ve made a blind bit of difference. I stand to be corrected, but I think that’s generally true with C and emergency acute events.

Seeing that some people have very deliberately made this political, my other takeaway was that we should invest far more in updating hospital buildings (like the RSCH).

But C is a great leveler, make no mistake about that.

Nope, but you can see why people who have seen loved ones die through cancer whilst waiting would be annoyed by the system.

I know two people who knew but refused to admit it to themselves so wouldn’t go to the doctors. Their fear killed them.

Our cancer detection rates are so bad in this country, millions will be making the same comparison.

All of my older family members were/are staunch royalists. They've said the same tonight.

The reality is that Charles statistically has a far better chance of survival the vast majority of the population because of private care, early diagnosis and treatment.
